The celebration last year was replaced with a drive-thru gathering where members received food and small gifts. Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is an occasion of peace, joy, and festivity. People visit friends and family, give gifts, and eat sweets and delicious food. This year, Turkish American Society of Missouri (TASOM) was able to host a celebration for the community’s kids and adults at Lemay Ferry Park by following COVID guidelines. Mentors enjoyed providing gifts, dessert, cotton candy, drinks and more to the community.
